Candle Care Tips 101
Proper candle care extends your candle's life and ensures a clean, safe burn. Always burn candles within sight and keep them far away from children, pets, and flammable materials. For safety reasons use a candle snuffer to extinguish your candles.

Wick Maintenance
- Trim Regularly: Always trim your wick to roughly 1/4 inch (5-7 mm) before every burn. This stops the flame from getting too large and prevents unsightly black soot marks on your jar.
- Remove Debris: Keep the wax pool clear of any wick trimmings, matches, or debris

Burn for 2-4 hours the first time to ensure full melt pool
The First Burn (Setting the Memory)
- Melt the Entire Surface: On your first light, let the candle burn long enough for the wax to melt completely to the edges of the jar. This typically takes 2 to 4 hours.
- Avoid Tunneling: If you extinguish a candle too early, it develops a "memory" of that small circle and will only burn down the center on future

Burning Habits
Burning Habits
- Time Limits: Do not burn your candle for more than 3 to 4 hours at a time. Long burns can cause wicks to lean or "mushroom," leading to excess smoke.
- Draft-Free Zone: Place your candles away from ceiling fans, vents, or open windows. Drafts cause uneven burning and flickering, which creates soot.
- Stop at 1/2 Inch: Discontinue burning the candle when 1/2 inch (or about 1 cm) of wax remains at the bottom of the container. Burning past this point can cause the glass to overheat and crack.
